Auckland Mathematical Olympiad for high school students only is hosted by The University of Auckland  Mathematics department.

The competition is a two-hour assessment of 10 questions.

Top scorers in the Auckland event may be invited to participate in the national competition.

Due to the current alert level settings this years competition will be held remotely.

When:  During the week 17-25 May

Where: In School at a time during the week to be confirmed

Entries: Entries for the competition will close on Tuesday 10 May. Please download an entry form, complete, scan and return to Phil Kane p.kane@auckland.ac.nz before 4pm on Tuesday 10 May.

  • Select your students
  • Teachers-in-charge emailed the questions in the week beginning 16 May.
  • Set up a two-hour window during the week to provide their candidates with a chance to attempt the questions.
  • Responses  emailed to the University for marking by Tuesday 26 May
  • Results returned
